| Description |
English: Roman road near East Tytherley. This is the western end of an almost straight unclassified road 3km long that comes from near Horsebridge to the east. This is on the line of the Roman road from Winchester to Old Sarum, the original site of Salisbury, see 476555. In this view the road turns abruptly left to East Tytherley, but the Roman road continued straight ahead where the trees and bushes now stand, and it becomes part of another unclassified road just over 1km west at Buckholt Farm. The track to the right is a bridleway up to Broughton Down. |
