Title
Roman pin fragment
Description
English: A fragment of decorated copper alloy, probably from a Roman pin. It is cylindral in shape and one third of the length of the fragment is decorated with incised diagonal parallel lines, bordered at either end with double horizontal incised lines. There are breaks at either end of the fragment. It measures 43.1mm (length) x 4.1mm (diameter) and weighs 3.47g.

The light green patina of the object, its diameter and the style of decorated strongly suggest it could be part of a Roman hair pin, so it has been given a broadly Roman date.
