Title
Roman lead weight
Description
English: An complete cast lead-alloy steelyard weight of Roman date. The weight is bi-conical with a central iron loop acting as a suspension loop.

Plain weights were cast locally in lead from the Roman period onwards for a wide variety of uses and are hard to date precisely. However, stelyard weights of this form are Roman.
