Roman lead steelyard weight
Description
English: A Roman lead steelyard weight. This weight is biconical, although it is somewhat squat, with a relatively flat base, enabling it to be sat upright. The weight is 50.3 mm wide and 40 mm high and weighs 503g, the equivalent of around 18.4 Roman ounces. Traces of iron from the loop, can be seen protruding from the centre of one dameged end.
