Description |
English: An almost complete small globular dark blue glass bead. It is 6.5mm high and has a diameter of 7mm. There is a large chip on one side and a groove which extends from the perforated end on one side. The perforation at this end is tear-drop shaped and has dimensions of 2.3 x 3mm. At the other end, the diameter of the perforation is 1.5mm.It weighs 0.31g.
Small globular beads are known in both late Iron Age and Roman contexts, occurring throughout the Roman period (Guido 1978, 69-71, group 7). |
