Roman glass bead
Description
English: A blue glass bead of Roman date, c. 43-250.

The bead is cylindrical with a circular perforation through its centre that has broken in half (vertically). The glass is relatively good quality, with some bubbles visible internally when held up to light, and retains a strong blue colour despite the transparency of the glass.
