Roman furniture fitting: Furniture mount
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Roman furniture fitting or mount. The mount is conical built up of four circular tiers. The reverse of the fitting is flat and has the corroded remains of an iron shank remaining. A number of Roman furniture fittings or mounts are recorded on this database, and a given a general Roman date of AD 43-410.
