Description
English: Copper-alloy finger ring. Probably Roman. Mass: 1.3g; diameter: 16.1mm; width: 2.1-2.6mm. Decoration on the hoop consists of broad shallow notches which taper on alternating sides, cf. the design on armlet 1653 in “Colchester Archaeological Report 2: The Roman small finds from excavtions in Colchester 1971-9”, Crummy, 1983, p. 38 and fig. 43 (c.320AD-c.450AD).
