Roman finger ring: Finger ring
Description
English: An incomplete copper alloy Roman finger ring. The ring retains its oval bezel, keeled shoulders and a small length of the hoop either side. The oval bezel has a recess for glass or enamel; there is a small patch of degraded red and possibly white glass or enamel remaining however the vast majority is now missing. The finger ring of of Henig's Type VIIIa and dates to the third century AD.
