Title
Roman ear ring
Description
English: Copper alloy ring, diameter internally 16mm, circular in section and tapering from 4mm across to pointed ends which now overlap. Very corroded, missing most of the original surface except on the inside. This could be an ear ring (Allason Jone type 1 for Roman examples) but could also be a finger ring - and if the terminals originally overlapped might be more likely to be Anglo-Saxon? However the majority of finds from the vicinity are Roman.
