Title
Roman ear ring.
Description
English: A Roman copper-alloy earring (see N. Crummy, 1983, p. 50, fig. 53, No. 1798 for a similar example).

The earring has been cast in one piece and is roughly semi-circular in plan. The body is of circular section and tapers to a point at both ends. On one end, small ridges on the outer surface are visible. These ridges may have served to hold the earring within the piercing.

The object measures 22.8mm wide, 18.2mm high, 3.3mm thick, and weighs 1.9g.
