Roman disc brooch
Description
English: Incomplete copper alloy tutulus brooch. The brooch is circular and has no complete perimeter lugs. Behind one of the broken lugs there is a double lug for a hinged pin. The centre of the brooch has a high raised boss with a recessed band containing red enamel. The centre of the boss has a circular hole. The perimeter band of the brooch is also slightly recessed but does not contain enamel. Both interior and exterior perimeter of this are decorated with incised hatching. The catchplate is missing.
