English: Roman copper alloy sestertius of Septimius Severus dating to AD 193 (Reece Period 10). Cf RIC IV vol.1, p.180, no.653, Scarce type. The mint is Rome.
Diameter 28mm, and the weight 12.65g. Obverse inscription is IMP CAES L SEPT SEV PERT AVG and the reverse inscription is LIBERAL AVG TR P COS S C. The coin is damaged. |
