The object is in a good condition, corroded to a minimum, but the pin is bent to almost a right angle and appears to be incomplete. The pinhead consists of a solid sqaure which has had its corners cut away. Each face is decorated with an incised dot and ring.

English: Roman copper alloy hair pin, post 250 (Colchester Archaeological Report 2, pp. 29, Fig. 29.490). The object is in a good condition, corroded to a minimum, but the pin is bent to almost a right angle and appears to be incomplete. The pinhead consists of a solid sqaure which has had its corners cut away. Each face is decorated with an incised dot and ring.
