Description
English: Roman Republican coin; silver denarius serratus of L. Papius, 79 BC, Sear Vol 1 p130, no.311 (RRC 384/1 CRR 773, RSC Papia 1). Serrated edge. Slightly worn. Diameter 18.3mm, weight 3.2g. A similar coin has been recorded in Holymoorside and Walton (Derbyshire) PAS database number DENO-C8C497.
