Description
English: A contemporary copy (silvered copper-alloy core) of a denarius of Septimius Severus (AD 193 - 211), with reverse of Julia Mamaea (c. 221 - 235), probably dating to the period AD c. 221 - 235 (Reece period 11). VENVS VICTRIX reverse depicting Venus standing left, holding helmet and sceptre, with shield to left of feet. Obverse: RIC IV (part I), pp. 110 - 113. Reverse: RIC IV (part II), p. 99, no. 358.

Diameter: 19.3mm; thickness: 2.3mm; weight: 2.91g.
