Title |
Roman coin: denarius of Mark Antony (probably) |
||
Description |
English: A worn silver republican denarius. The obverse shows a galley with banners; this is probably a denarius of Mark Anthony, dating to c.32-31 BC, and thus is legionary coinage made by a travelling mint. The reverse is too worn to be seen, but would normally depict legionary standards, with a legionary eagle between them. |
