Roman coin: denarius of Carausius
Description
English: A silver denarius of Carausius (AD 286-93) (Reece Period 14), RENOVATIO AVG reverse type, depicting a wolf and twins. Mintmark: -//RSR.  This is the third specimen known with this reverse legend, but the first with the obverse legend IMP CARAVSIVS P F A. It will be included in Sam Moorhead's new RIC for Carausius and Allectus.
