Description
English: An incomplete, Roman, copper alloy button and loop fastener dating to c. AD 100-200 (Wild Class VIa - enamelled rectangular head).

The button head is decorated with four triangular cells (saltire arrangement) containing alternating enamel: blue and red. On the reverse, a shank (D-shaped in section) projects from the back of the button head, and then turns at a 90 degree angle before splitting into the incomplete triangular loop.
