Roman brooch: Tutulus brooch fragment
Description
English: A fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman tutulus brooch, dating to the second century AD. The brooch fragment consists of the raised central dome or boss, crowned by a small moulded round with central pimple knop, part of the lower field of the brooch and on the reverse the pin hinge. There is iron corrosion around the hinge but the iron pin and most of the brooch is now missing.
