Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is a Roman bronze statue of the hero Hercules dating to the first century BCE or first century CE, currently held in the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston, Massachusetts. This statue was found in the ruins of a round building in central Italy that may have once been a temple to the hero. He is believed to have originally been holding a kylix (i.e., a kind of cup used for drinking wine).
