Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is a Roman bronze head of a man currently held in the Museum of Fine Arts (MFA) in Boston, Massachusetts. It actually dates to the second or third century CE, but is recognizably in the style of the much earlier Greek Hellenistic Era (lasted c. 323 – c. 30 BCE). The head may depict a Hellenistic king and be based on a now-lost Greek original of the Hellenistic Era or it may simply represent a man who wished to be portrayed in the style of the Hellenistic Era.
