Roman biconical steelyard weight
Description
English: Roman bi-conical cast lead steelyard weight, the upper part more steeply conical than the lower. The weight has a mass of iron corrosion, previously the suspension loop, projecting from the top. The central ridge where the two conical ends meet is slightly rounded as are the top and bottom points. It is 43.6mm tall, 58.9mm including the iron, 49.2mm in diameter and weighs 502 grams
