Title
Roman bead: Glass bead
Description
English: A blue glass bead, dating from the Roman period. The bead is roughly circular and has the remains of thin copper wire through the bead's central perforation. Although often hard to date closely as beads of this type were used into the Saxon period, this bead comes from a known Roman site and was a stratified find.
