Roman Type 1 ear ring (probably).
Description
English: A complete cast copper alloy probable earring (Type 1 as classified by Allason-Jones 1989: by far the most common type found in Britain), probably dating to the Roman period between AD 43-410 (length: 28mm; width: 28mm; thickness: 6mm; weight: 8.03g).

The penannular ear ring tapers at the terminals and has a triangular section. the artefact is in a worn and poor condition with a light green patina.
