Roman Tweezers.
Description
English: A pair of Roman, copper-alloy tweezers with satiire panel.The top of the loop is decorated with a moulded ridge which is splayed at the ends.The top of the blades just below the loop are decorated with an incised transverse groove, a flat section, a transverse ridgeand another incised transverse groove.Below this there is an incised asymetrical cross with three punch marks in the top and bottom angles and one punch mark in the right and left angles, there is a further incised transverse groove below the cross.The rest of the blade is plain and smooth and the nibs are turned inwards, one slightly more than the other.The blades are virtually parallel-sided. Length 55mm,width 5mm, Thickness 5mm at the loop,0.5mm thick on the plate, weight 3.58g. Similar to LIN-A47791
