Roman Steelyard Weight
Description
English: An incomplete cast lead steelyard weight of Roman date (AD 43-AD 410). The weight is biconical in form and circular in cross-section. At the top there are the remains of an iron suspension loop. The surface has many old scuffs and dents. It has a buff patina overall. Length: 49.3mm; maximum diameter: 57.1mm. Weight: c. 675g.
