Description
English: An incomplete cast lead steelyard weight of probable Roman date (AD 43 – AD 410). The weight is biconical in form and has the remains of an iron wire suspension loop at the top. The surface is pitted and has some modern scuffs and dents. Grey/buff patina overall. Length: 29.9mm; diameter: 33.0mm; weight: 135.88g.
