Description
English: Roman Museum in Butchery Lane, Canterbury, Kent. Roman Ridingate hinge-pivot for wooden gate door. The humidity gauge is about the size of a mobile phone. The nails found with it show that the door timber was 14 cm thick.
Français : Roman Museum, Butchery Lane, Canterbury, Kent. Paumelle (charnière) à pivot romaine pour le vantail d'une porte cochère en bois. L'appareil de mesure d'humidité correspond à peu près à la taille d'un téléphone portable. Les clous trouvés en même temps montrent que l'épaisseur du panneau de porte était de 14 cm.
