Roman Langton Down brooch
Description
English: A fragment of a copper alloy Langton Down type brooch dating to the first century AD. The fragment comprises part of the cylindrical wing casing. This extends to a flat, tapering bow with longitudinal ribbing. The foot and catchplate are missing. The brooch measures 22mm in length and a maximum of 22mm in width.
