Roman Dragonesque Brooch
Description
English: An incomplete cast copper alloy Roman Dragonesque plate brooch. Only the s-shaped plate of the brooch survives, both of the terminals are missing. The plate is raised in the centre with a rim around the edge and hollow at the back. In the centre, on the front is a circular hollow boss, which has a central pellet inside. The surviving length is 33.4mm, the width is 16.7mm, the thickness is 7.2mm and the weight is 7.62g.
