Roman Derbyshire ware vessel
Description
English: Three sherds of greyware of the Roman period. Probably locally produced Derbyshire ware. The fabric is mid to dark grey with irregular white inclusions. One is a rim sherd with a lip extending 14 mm from the body, with an overall thickness of 7mm, weighing 10.17 g. The other two are body sherds. Of these, one has a lighter interior fabric, and is 8 mm thick, trapezoid in shape with a length of 53 mm and a width of 27 mm. The other is10 mm thick, 42 mm long and 31mm wide, and has a coarser interior fabric.
