English: A fragment of a silver Roman denarius of Trajan dating to the period AD 103-104 or 113-114 (Reece Period 5). SPQR OPTIMO PRINCIPI reverse type depicting Mars nude, advancing right, holding spear and trophy. Mint of Rome.

This coin appears to have been cut into a rough quarter.
