Roman Coin: Probable Sestertius
Description
English: A probable Roman copper alloy sestertius, probably of Claudius (AD 41-54), probably SPES AVGVSTA, S C, Spes advancing left. Mint of Rome. RIC I, pp. 128 & 130, cf. nos. 99 & 115. The coin is very worn and corroded, and has no identifying marks. Diameter: 34.09mm. Thickness: 3.46mm. Weight: 11.33g.
