Title
Roman Coin: Denarius of Geta
Description
English: A silver denarius of Geta dating to the period AD 198 to 200 (Reece period 10). FELICITAS TEMPORVM reverse type depicting Felicitas standing right, holding long caduceus, clasping hands with Geta standing left, holding cornucopiae. Mint of Rome. RIC IV, Pt I, p. 314, no. 1. The coin has been deliberately cut. This is a feature of many coins in the same assemblage, suggesting that this may have been a votive act.
