Roman : Nail cleaner
Description
English: A cast copper alloy Roman nail cleaner, Crummy type 2a. The blade is leaf shaped, with rounded shoulders. The loop is separated from the blade by three moulded collars. The loop is complete and situated in the same plane as the blade. The points are worn and rounded, and divided by an incised line which continues up the centre of the blade towards the collar. The object is in good condition with a mid blueish green patina. It dates to the 1st-2nd century AD.
