Circumstances of discovery

Found with the aid of a metal detector, plough-scattered over an area 100m2.

This is noted as an early denarius hoard for other examples see J. Orna-Ornstein, 'Early Hoards of Denarii from Britain' in CHRB X (pp. 23-9).

Disposition

Aquired and on display at Northgate Museum / Bridgnorth Museum, Shropshire
