Description

Destruction of the Ruth's idol.
Amantius and his deacon Naamas decided to preach during the feasts for the worship of Ruth. The idolaters were furious and tried to take and immolate him. The prayers of the holy bishop provoked a powerful storm that overturned and broke the idol, scattering pieces in the stream of Lauterne, the river Aveyron and as far as the Gioule abyss.
