Summary

English: Rocky bed of the Nant y Gwair Many of these streams have cut down through the 10 to 40ft overburden of glacial till and now runa across surafces of bare Old Red sandstone. If the gem of the northern faces of the Brecon Beacons are their steep scarps carved by glacial ice then the highlight of their southern slopes are the watercourses with their myriad pools, falls and rock surfaces. |
