Description
Français : Le rocher de sel, situé à 25 km au nord de Djelfa , près de Aïn Maabed et de l'Oued Malah, est un diapir triasique.

Un diapir est une remontée, généralement de sel ou de gypse, qui se fait grâce à leur caractère ductile (déformable) et par la pression des couches sus-jacentes. Dans ce rocher de sel on trouve, outre le sel gemme, des cristaux de pyrite (disulfure de fer).

Cette photo montre une formation en pic, une autre en crevasse et une vue générale.
