Description
English: Robert Burns statue, Dumfries Robert Burns, 1759-96, Scottish poet and writer of traditional Scottish folk songs. He lived in the town for the last few years of his life. His statue, erected 6th April 1882 at the end of the High Street outside Greyfriar's Church, makes a convenient perch for gulls.
