Summary
[edit]DescriptionRobber - nectar robber.jpg |
English: Stylidiaceae: Stylidium albolilacinum pink form
There is a white and yellow form of this plant too. 0.1-0.36m (< 1 ft) tall, Leaves tufted, linear Sept-Nov This little fly landed and had a drink walked around on the petals, flew onto another flower and drank and walked around without triggering the flowers. It was a very windy day when the triggers are not very sensitive to being triggered. Don't know the reason. It was cute. The fly looks like the same species that I photographed on the Ricinocarpos earlier this week. |
