Summary
[edit]DescriptionRoadside memorial - geograph.org.uk - 1105659.jpg |
English: Roadside memorial. This memorial is about 50 metres eastwards of another such unofficial tribute 1105654; do these commemorate some horrible tragedy in which two people died on this stretch of road? Note added 9 January: I now understand that these two memorials were probably placed in remembrance of those women who were murdered in Ipswich in the winter of 2006 /7, three of whose bodies were found in the nearby woods http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_depth/629/629/6175797.stm - if anything, an even sadder occurrence than a fatal road accident. |
