Summary
[edit]DescriptionRoad junction in Totaig - geograph.org.uk - 1566508.jpg |
English: Road junction in Totaig In a place where roads are thinly spread, it is unusual to find two roads which run so close to each other.
This view is looking south. Behind the photographer, the road runs through Husabost, Uig and Borreraig before ending at Galtrigill. Ahead, both roads meet the B884 in Colbost, in about half a mile. Just about all modern traffic uses the lower road on the left and then continues south from Colbost towards Dunvegan, but in the days when usual access to this part of Skye was by boat, the road to the right here avoids a steep hill north west out of Colbost on its way to the busy Glendale townships and the pier at Meanish in grid square NG1550. |
