English: This photo was taken in the village Fámjin, which is located on the west coast of the island Suðuroy in the Faroe Islands. These three road bicicle racers were the first to enter Famjin. The competition is called Statoil Kring Føroyar 2010, it is an annual sports event in the Faroe Islands. The competition is around the Faroe Islands. In 2010 it was 341 km starting in Klaksvík in Borðoy, continuing to these islands: Eysturoy, Suðuroy, Vágar and Streymoy, ending in Tórshavn on the 5th day. The winner of the competition has been the same person for two years in a row now, Torkil Veyhe from Tórshavnar Súkklufelag won Statoil Kring Føroyar in 2009 and 2010; he was a part of Team PE, he is the person in the center of this photo. The person to the right on the photo is Gunnar Dahl-Olsen who was on the same team as Torkil Veyhe. There were also participants from other Nordic counties, i.e. from Iceland and Denmark.

Torkil Veyhe vann samlaðu kappingina við tíðini 9:45:11. Teinurin var 341 km. Súkklarnir súkklaðu víða um í Føroyum, súkklað var í hesum oyggjum: Borðoy, Eysturoy, Suðuroy, Vágum og Streymoy. Torkil er mittast á myndini. Maðurin til høgru er Gunnar Dahl-Olsen, sum vann seinasta teinin av Statoil Kring Føroyar. Teir báðir vóru á sama liðið, sum nevnist Team PE, saman við Guðmundi Joensen. Torkil Veyhe vann eisini kappingina Statoil Kring Føroyar í 2009. Luttakarar vóru eisini úr øðrum Norðanlondum, t.d. úr Íslandi og Danmark. |
