Summary

[edit]
Description
English: River in Spate at Congreave. The confluence of the rivers Lathkill and Bradford lies a mile or so upstream at Alport. This already swollen torrent is set to join the Wye a few yards downstream, and the whole mass will then tumble into the river Derwent at Rowsley. The farm buildings on the hill in the middle distance are further up Stantonhall Lane at Congreave. From the bridge by the lodge and entrance to the Thornhill Settlement on the Stanton Estate.
