English: River and bay near Hornhead Note the Google maps here are useless. Please refer to OSI Discovery Series Sheet 2 from which all accurate grid references have been made.
This very short river runs approximately 0.5km from New Lake into the bay between Hornhead (left) and Dunfanaghy (unseen, right). Picture taken from Hornhead Bridge - see https://www.geograph.org.uk/search.php?i=3196828 for pictures. The river was originally an estuary but has changed as this area silted up, creating the New Lake (in square C0036). |
