Summary

[edit]
Description
English: River Weaver near Austerston This is the juvenile River Weaver as it crosses the flat plains south-east of Nantwich near the WWII Secret Command Bunker at Hack Green. The river sits in a shallow valley the topography of which appears to be controlled by salt dissolution and subsidence as is much of the countryside which overlies the Permian (Zechstein) Salt. The nearby farm is called Brine Pits Farm which appears to corroborate this postulate.
