| Description |
English: River Wear below Bollihope Burn confluence Downstream of the Frosterly bridges, the River Wear settles to an easy stretch with just shingle rapids, though low trees can be a hazard to canoeists, especially when water levels are high. There are a couple of dangling rope swings here which just about reach the water and paddlers always need to be wary of abandoned fishing tackle hanging down from branches. In the far centre of this shot, the Bollihope Burn joins from the south. |
