Summary

[edit]
Description
English: River Thames: Hampton Court Bridge Designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens, the bridge was built between 1930 and 1933 and became the fourth bridge over the river at this location. The centre span is 150 feet or about 46 metres wide, and this is the downstream side. When it was opened in July 1933 it was one of three bridges across the Thames (the others being Chiswick and Twickenham) that were opened during the course of one hour by the then Prince of Wales, later King Edward VIII.
